I Think I’ve Just Shortened My Career At Sony
At work I happen to sit right next to the training room and our project just started bringing in users to train them on SAP. The door was left wide open and I could hear everything that was going on in the training room. With some effort I was able to ignore the lecture, but at one point all kinds of noise was coming out of the training room. So I politely asked the instructor if the door could be closed, didn’t make a scene or anything. All was fine after the door was closed, or so I thought. A few minutes later the training lead comes over and starts asking why I was complaining and that I should learn to live with it as training would go on for the next few weeks. Turns out the training room had some VP types in the room and they didn’t take kindly to a little peon like me telling them to close the door.
