DVR Fall Cleaning
Every year around this time when the new TV season starts I have to go through my DVR (used to be Tivo, now on Comcast/Time Warner DVR) and remove all the shows that got cancelled. Since I don’t really keep up with the cancellations its always a bit of a surprise to learn which shows didn’t make it to the new season. I usually comb through my show list and look them up on tv.com to get their status. This year’s victims were:
Stacked, okay lame Pamela Anderson show, but was sorta amusing
Teen Titans, I really like this anime-inspired cartoon
Justice League, with the Teen Titans also cancelled, where am I gonna get my super hero fix?
E-Ring, this one I saw coming, too “rah, rah, rah, the American military can do no wrong”, good thing The Unit came along to take its place.
Living with Fran, really like Fran Drescher, looks not enough people watched the show
Alias, I knew the series ended, just couldn’t bring myself to removing the show from the DVR
West Wing, at least the series ended with a pretty good season
Stargate SG-1, Sci Fi channel recently announced that the current season will be the last, ack, I’ll probably forget and be in shock next Fall cleaning
On the bright side, Battlestar Galactica will be back and there will a special to recap season 1 and 2 shown before the new season starts. Here’s part of the press release with dates and times for the special:
