Getting Worse

I’m gonna start a couple of new categories on this blog called “Getting Better” or “Getting Worse”. They will be examples from the internet of how things are getting better or getting worse.

First up in the getting worse category, two teenage girls set a kitten on fire, the kitten at least lives.

Freak on a Leash?

Who says you can’t put a cat on a leash. Miles takes pretty quickly to the lease, and I can get Milo on the lease if I can catch him first. Get some funny looks from the neighbors, but this is the only way the cats can go outside. Otherwise they tend to take off.

Is This A Gas Station?

In LA everything has to be hip and cool, so even this BP gas station has to modernize. At first I wasn’t even sure that this was a gas station until I saw the pumps. The car at the bottom is the Mini Cooper I rented when my car was at the dealer for service. More pictures of the gas station here.

New Picture Gallery

I knew there was a good reason to upgrade to Wordpress. With a plugin and some hacking around I am now able to host my own pictures. So I can finally start using that 50 gigs of storage that I get with my hosting plan. See the pictures by clicking on the “Pictures” menu item in the header. I’m still working on uploading pictures, so check back every once in a while.

Switching To Wordpress and New Feed

I got bored and decided to install Wordpress as my blogging software since my hosting plan supports MySQL and PHP. This lets me geek around with some software and programming, and gets me some flexibility for this blog, not that I really need the new features, just wanted to play with some new toys. Plus everything is now running from my website and I don’t have to upload from Blogger anymore.

Anyway, so what this means is that there is a change to the RSS feed:
1. If you are subscribed to my blog through RSS, please change the feed address to: http://www.tedsu.com/wp-rss2.php
2. If you use Yahoo to read this blog, this link with re-add the feed to your My Yahoo account.

This will be the last post that works with the old feed address, all new posts after will only appear at the new feed address.

iPhone Porn

I haven’t been so glued to the internets looking at a new product since the PS3 release. So here’s a bunch of iPhone stuff in case you aren’t already sick of hearing about it.

Taking Apart the iPhone
- The Systm guys drop and take apart the iPhone right outside an Apple store just after purchase.

More Than You Wanted To Know - From Engadget, A 30 minute video that walks through every screen.

You Can Still Get the iPhone - So much for standing in line for days, maybe I’ll actually venture out and get one.

Check Availability
- Apple’s website lets you see if your local Apple store has the iPhone, when I checked last night most of the stores in Southern California still had stock.

Lady Has Get Rich Dream - Some real estate agent looking type woman tries to buy every iPhone at an at&t store only to be denied, she even gives the first person in line $800 for his spot. She got lucky, ebay prices are near retail.

Apple Co-Founder Gets Into the Act - Even Steve Wozniak needs to stand in line, well sort of. Steve Jobs promised to give Woz one on Saturday, but he wanted a few more and couldn’t wait for the free one.

Oops!

Problem Already

Let the Hacking Beging

More Than You Wanted to Know II - Engadget has been covering iPhone news non-stop for the last few days, even the regular readers are sick of it.
