The last season of 24 was terrible! I’m just glad I survived the boredom that ensued after the terrorists were killed. I mean come on, how many freakin’ times is CTU gonna get invaded or blown up? How many times is Jack gonna go rogue? And what the hell was up with the ultra mushy ending with Jack staring off into the horizon after setting Audry “free”? What was the point of even bringing her back anyway, she was better off dead. Jack should of just jumped over the cliff and ended everyone’s misery. You know a show has gotten bad when you want the bad guys to win just to alleviate the boredom (go evil Chinese dudes!). Even worse I just didn’t care anymore, like does it really matter that Chloe is pregnant? Can’t wait to hear her saying stupid ass things to the baby next season. And if our government is anything like what they show on 24, I’m moving to Antarctica. I hope Wayne Palmer’s head explodes. Well at least I got to learn how long sex takes in the world of 24 (one commercial break).
Method Music is a weird website that create musical portraits based on the sound your voice, a picture of yourself, a random you create, and a rhythm you tap out. These inputs are then run though some kind of mathematical algorithm which spits out a “song” that is your musical portrait. Here is my portrait. It sounds like gibberish, so not sure what that says about me.
(Huh, huh, huh, thats what she said) Oh yeah, it could be bigger, this was the second to biggest size. I just grabbed a cup at random and didn’t realize how much Slurpee I had gotten until I started drinking it. I got sick of it about half way through, but I had to finish it for the challenge. Good thing I got the sugar free Crystal Lite flavor otherwise I would be in some sort of a caffeine/sugar coma if I had gotten the Mountain Dew flavor. Even though the Crystal Lite flavor was suppose to be sugar free it still tasted like I was going to suffer some kind of diabetic shock. Ah the wonders of chemical additives! The cats wouldn’t have anything to do with it, they made a run for it when they got a little whiff.
Got a chance to see Spider-Man 3 this morning at our employee screening and I’m very happy to report that it is really good, the best comic book movie since the first Batman movie. The writing, directing, and acting are all good. Topher Grace is great as Venom and Thomas Hayden Church is excellent as Sandman. For the comic book folks out there, Stan Lee has a big cameo in the middle of the movie. So go out there and see the movie already, or at least promise to see it on DVD.
Thats right, time to support my bonus plan again, go see Spider-Man 3 early and often, its coming out on 5/4/07. In the meantime I will be worshiping at the giant inflatable Spidey on my way to work, you should see the view from the other end!
This is really infectious song by Tim Armstrong. Not really into Ska, but I can’t get this song out of my head, also lots of lyrical references for those of you in the Bay Area.
Hopefully Michael Bay doesn’t screw this up, he’s the guy that brought us such awesome (eyes rolling) movies as Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and The Rock, maybe having Steven Spielberg as the executive producer will keep him in check, though even Spielberg has had his share of questionable movies, A.I. anyone?
Here are some cell phone pics from my trip to the Bay Area last weekend to visit my brother and his family. We went to the de Young Museum in San Francisco and I got a little carried away with the cell phone camera.
First up is a series of panoramas stitched together from a bunch of pictures in Gimp (free version of Photoshop). Click here for the huge version.
