If you’re gonna steal the recycling out of the bins on trash day, I have the following requests for you:

1) Please don’t do it when I’m asleep, you are making too much noise and I have to hear you going through all my neighbor’s bins as well.

2) Don’t make a freaking mess. Last time I had to sweep up the broken glass bottle you left behind.

I don’t mind that you are stealing the recycling to make a few bucks, just do so quietly and don’t make a mess.

I just couldn’t hold out anymore, finally gave in and picked up a Nintendo Wii, but I had to buy it off ebay. This is my virtual self, my Mii, that I created on the Wii (I’m a poet and I didn’t know it). I’m no artist, so this is as close as I could get to my real self. I’ve already spent way too much time messing with the Mii and playing tennis, my arm is already kinda sore. The Wii has to be one of the funnest game consoles ever and I haven’t even really played anything else but Wii Sports. I’ve already had my first Wii mishap when I sent a glass bottle flying across the room, good thing the bottle was empty!

Okay, got all obsessed with my new mad skills on CSS and just had to re-do the whole blog so it looks all cool and modern. Also removed the music player, it was just too annoying with it auto-playing and all. I couldn’t find a way to stop it from doing that so I just removed it. So I just spent the last 24 hours learning CSS and XHTML, and re-doing the code for this blog to bring it up to date. Probably doesn’t look much different than before, but I’ve finally gotten rid of all those nasty nested tables and weird javascript that I was using before and it should be much easier to make changes in the future. Of course the blog probably won’t display correctly in older browsers anymore, but I guess thats the price of progress. What a way to spend a weekend!

Why is it that these mega-sized customer (dis)service call centers only have The One Guy that knows what he is doing, and even better, actually cares about the customer? Today, I called Time Warner Cable (first I had AT&T Broadband, then was switched to Comcast, and now Time Warner, whose next?) to upgrade my internet service. I just wanted to switch to the higher speed service, just can’t get enough bandwidth, its like cocaine. There was some problem with my cable modem not being registered to my account despite the fact I got a new cable modem over a year ago. After several transfers and being put on hold forever, finally reach The One Guy who put everything in order and actually prepped the next customer service rep to finalize my order. Thanks to The One Guy for ending the misery, I guess I shoulda noted your name so I could send a note to the company, oh well. Why can’t companies put The One Guy in charge?

I’ve re-organized the template for my blog and added a music player to the right. I really should just re-do this website in modern HTML, the code is so late 90s. I’m still hand coding this thing! Anyway, the music player will stream some tunes from my collection and I hope to keep it updated with new songs that I find. It might take a few moments for the songs to stream, so be patient, this is running off my poor 7 year old “home server”.

Holy cow, Monday nights are gonna be crazy for the next few months! Prison Break, 24, Heroes, and Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip are all playing on the same night. Good thing I have a DVR that can record two channels at once! I only wish I had one more tuner so I can record The New Adventures Of Old Christine as well, but oh well, there are other ways to get the show ;). With Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Jericho and the two Stargate shows coming back as well (hopefully The 4400 also comes back), I’m not sure how I’ll keep up with all these shows, my Netflix movies, net-based videos, and play my backlog of video games. I really need 28 hours in a day.
